People in the Steven Universe fandom, especially those of you who are minors, need to be aware that a recently popular artist (particularly for their Sadie/Lars Rule 34 art) named kalecaruba/kalechippu (ETA: now kalematsuba) is a pedophile.

ETA: To people coming in now who click on the link, you might notice that kale’s old blog was deleted. He’s still around, he’s just at kalematsuba now.

This isn’t an accusation I make lightly, but Kale very openly draws shotacon art (art of prepubescent/underage children performing sexual activities). In his blog, he admits without reservation that he draws shotacon and that most places do not allow him to post it:

In fact, he is so open about his creation of shota art that he uses art that he himself tagged on Pixiv as “shota” on his Patreon banner and even uses the same underage character on his Patreon page itself. Compare:

You will also notice on his Tumblr blog (and ONLY there) that he specifies that his characters are 18+ - which, considering the above, should be a red flag.

I liked their art and I was very startled to learn this while looking through their page and at their works, but people need to know. Steven Universe is a children’s fandom full of minors. For their safety, they need to be aware that someone who fetishizes children is a part of the fandom, and other artists need to be aware before they end up supporting him or his works.
